Europa Nostra is the European voice of civil society working to protect and promote cultural and natural heritage. It is a pan-European federation of cultural heritage NGOs supported by a wide network of public bodies, private companies and individuals in over 40 countries. It is considered to be the largest and most representative cultural heritage network in Europe which maintains close ties with the European Union, the Council of Europe, UNESCO and other international bodies. Europa Nostra was founded in 1963 and celebrates its 60th anniversary this year. Europa Nostra Germany is the German country representation of the international network.
We act as advocates of heritage within Germany through partnerships, collaborations and meaningful local, regional and national exchanges.
